Controlling Variables in Experiments

Here's a great example of how to control for variables in experiments.  Remember:  your hypothesis needs to be tested, not just the if-then, but the because!  How will you eliminate variables that might influence the results of your experiment, and make sure that the relationship that you're testing is, indeed, the reason for any observed changes?
